Pain Center
The staff at the Pain Center focuses on a "less is more" philosophy with respect to medication. They understand chronic pain affects the way people think and interact with others. Dr. Lee and his team are sensitive to helping people restore function and maintain quality of life.

Chronic Pain Conditions
You may be referred by your primary physician to the Pain Center if you have one or more of the following chronic conditions:

• Back pain
• Neck pain
• Pain that radiates down extremeties
• Burning pain
• Continued pain after surgery                

Specialty Services
The Pain Center offers a variety of services for the treatment of chronic pain.   The following services are offered exclusively in an office setting once referred by your primary physician:

• Treatment of pain as aviodance of surgery
• Injection therapy of the spine and realted structures: diagnostic blocks, permanent nerve blocks, intra-discal procedures and spinal cord stimulation
• Medical (medicinal) management of pain
• Physical therapy modalities
• Psychological assesment: if pain is best relieved with a combination of medication and psychological assistance, the patient may be referred to counseling. The psychological aspect of pain includes anxiety and chronic depression which is often assocaited with chronic pain patients. The psychological aspect of pain management also helps develop coping skills to be in control of the pain.

Marion O'Neill Lee, M.D.
Dr. Lee is a graduate from the Medical College of Georgia. He trained at the Medical College of Georgia and at the University of Florida. His credentials include recognition from the American Board of Anesthesiology, the American Board of Pain Medicine, as well as recognition as a Fellow in Interventional Pain Procedures by the World Pain Institute; with special certifications in controlled substance management by the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians.
